THE WONDERFUL GOAT CHEESE, FIG, AND ROSEMARY CROSTINI RECIPE
I recently finally found figs in my local grocery store—I couldn’t believe it! I had been waiting all year for them to arrive as I absolutely love to cook with and snack on their sweet, honeyed flavor. One of my favorite ways to eat figs is to make a simple, quick, and ever-so decadent goat cheese, fig, and rosemary crostini. The crunch of the baguette with the creamy goat cheese, fragrant rosemary, and flavorful figs is absolutely delightful and always a party favorite.
The recipe is easy. You’ll need:
-a baguette of choice
-goat cheese
-a few figs
-a sprig of rosemary
-honey
-salt and pepper
- Cut the baguette diagonally and drizzle a bit of olive oil on top
- Rub the bread with rosemary and then place the baguette slices into the oven at 375F for 6-8 minutes
- Once the baguette is out of the oven and cooled just a bit, spread on the goat cheese and sprinkle with salt and pepper
- Add the sliced figs and a touch of honey to finish
That’s it! In just moments you have a sweet and savory party appetizer. Enjoy!
