CREATE A MODERN AND GLAMOROUS ENTRANCE

The entrance to your home is the first impression your guests will receive when they visit. Like meeting a new face, your guests will take in the details of your exterior decor and form a picture of what they can expect upon crossing into your foyer. For this reason, it’s so important to put as much intention into your entrance as you do the rest of your home.

This is your moment to make an “entrance!” Exterior decoration doesn’t have to be limited to the usual: potted flowers, wicker benches, distant and unrelatable yard decor. Get creative and consider how your front porch or entryway can be a reflection of your personal style. Since I love decor that leans towards luxury and glam-style, I always try to include a few of these elements in combination with more natural details, like seasonal flowers, both real and artificial. Using flowers can help your decorations endure seasons, as you can switch them out as the months pass.

This particular design featured in the video is elegant, chic, and so easy to arrange. I incorporated reflective gold pieces, like the table, decorative tray, and vase, so that their metallic finish will play with the sun’s rays in differing intervals as the day passes. I also included a bit of contrast by pairing a traditional marble bust with the yellow, abstract wall art. Isn’t the effect unique? Finally, did you notice how I also included a candle right in the center of my tablescape? A candle produces an inviting and welcoming scent that delights your guests while they wait for you to answer the door.

So what does my entrance say about my home? Glamor and elegance. A little eclectic and very welcoming.
