A LUSCIOUS BAGEL BOARD FOR A SUNDAY BRUNCH

Like many, I’ve always loved incorporating boards and platters into my parties. Boards and platters are easy to assemble and are also a fun, interactive way to serve your guests. Recently, I hosted a bagel platter for my family一they all loved it! I chose to include a combination of sweet and savory spreads, toppings, and sides to please all palates.

I was able to assemble the bagel platter the night before, which allowed me time to prepare the table as well as fresh coffee the morning of. On this particular board, I used different types of cream cheese and added fresh chives and herbs to brighten their flavors. Surrounding the spreads, I added boiled eggs, roast beef, fresh smoked salmon, and perfectly ripened fruit. The options for this board are endless and the choice of what to include is entirely yours! One tip is that I always like to keep my guests in mind when assembling the specifics, catering as much as possible to their varied preferences.

There is so much flexibility in presentation too. You’ll notice I incorporated mixed mediums, from wooden boards and platters to gold-plated silverware. Personally, I loved the presentation I created and felt that the diversity of the board’s colorful ingredients brought energy and excitement to a more neutral tablescape. At the end of the day, this get-together was a delicious success!
