A GLAMOROUS DIY CHARCUTERIE BOARD

DIY can be glamorous and easy!  Since cutting boards and charcuterie boards are extremely popular right now, I thought it would be fun to embellish one to display in my kitchen. To begin, I purchased a plain, wooden cutting board and then spray-painted the handle in gold (I made sure to protect the rest of the board using painter’s tape). I wanted to create even more glam on the board’s body, so I purchased thin gold tape from Amazon and created a pattern of overlapping horizontal and vertical stripes. Finally, to soften the geometric design I added gold, and floral embellishments purchased from Etsy. Most often, these embellishments are used to create earrings, necklaces, and tiaras but I chose to repurpose them in a new, creative way. 

In only a few minutes, my cutting board transformed into a stunning accent piece for my kitchen! I love to use it to display charcuterie for my guests on wine and cheese nights or stand it up on display against my backsplash. When it comes to DIY glamor, here is my most important piece of advice: follow the fantasy and decorate in a way that speaks to you.
