CREATE AN ORGANIC FALL CENTERPIECE WITH WHEAT AND PAMPAS GRASS
I created this organic centerpiece by mixing wheat and pampas grass in different colors. I went a little out of my league because I usually do not use dry flowers, but I am happy about the result! I wanted to elevate the bouquet since wheat could be a little too rustic for my décor. So, I picked a real silver pedestal vase that has always been in my family – polished it (real silver tarnishes quickly), and used it as a vessel.
Then, instead of using tape, I placed a chicken wire net on the bottom of the vase. Being hard and sturdy allows for creating a “tall” flower arrangement like this one. Then, I started placing the wheat first, going in a circular motion. Once that base was done, I started adding the mixed pampas grass, still in a circular motion. I filled the gaps, and voila’…a statement centerpiece was done! It is effortless, but it is great to fill up ample space because it is very large.
I placed it on my kitchen table, then tried it on the console at the entrance, and it worked well both ways. This arrangement is also budget-friendly because you can buy big bunches of wheat and short pampas grass for a few dollars! Do you use dried flowers for your arrangements?
