A SNEAK PEEK INTO MY BEDROOM
I consider the bedroom as a sanctuary. It’s my private space in the house, not just a place to sleep. So, I make sure to make it elegant, cozy, and practical at the same time. I love white, fluffy carpets because they allow me to stand barefoot and not feel the floor’s cold. I like an oversized bed with layers of mattresses, many cushions to make me comfortable when I am reading or watching tv, large nightstands, and a chest of drawers to keep my treasures safe. Also, if the space allows it, I think it’s always a good idea to create a cozy seating space to read a book or sip a cup of tea in front of the fireplace.
As a family, we love to share a big house, but I know everyone also loves his privacy. Even my husband has his room! We like to share one, but since he has crazy working hours sometimes, we have different sleeping patterns, so this arrangement works well (and let’s face it… my dogs love this because they have more room in the bed!). I found these beautiful pieces of furniture from Caracole at Bloomingdales, and they remind me of a modern Art Deco Style. The color is amazing, a mix of beige and grey with a touch of gold. They work well with my king-size, gold, and velvet bed and the beige furniture for the sitting room I’ve got from Inspire me Home Décor. I added many table lamps so the room can be lit in soft light at night, suitable for relaxing after a bubble bath and before going to bed!
