MAKE A CUTE PERSONAL CITRUS BOUQUET
Believe me, there is nothing wrong with a traditional centerpiece. If you’ve spent any time on this blog or on my Instagram, you know that I love to create elegant and dramatic DIY centerpieces. But this time around, I chose to do something a bit different for my dinner guests by crafting personal citric bouquets. What a unique idea! What guests wouldn’t love to have their own personal bouquet resting atop their table setting? And as this craft only takes 5 minutes, there’s no reason to not include it as part of your next party preparation.
To create the citrus bouquet, you will need to use a scraper and a melon baller. Choose a larger citrus fruit, like a grapefruit, and cut off just the very top. Begin to cut around the interior of the grapefruit’s flesh and then use the melon baller to scoop the grapefruit clean. Insert a small block of foam and then insert your stems, using either real or artificial florals. I was inspired by the energy of citrus fruit flavor, so I chose colors that pop but really any color or type of flower would work! Rest these personal citrus bouquets atop each guest’s table setting and you are sure to see their faces brighten with smiles as they take their seats.
