HOW TO CREATE AN ORIGINAL CENTERPIECE WITH ORANGES
On this blog, I feature a lot of videos that demonstrate how a flower arrangement’s simple elegance can brighten up a room. Florals add a touch of grace to any design approach, and I always find that they especially help to soften the metallic textures and geometric design of glam-inspired decor. Though flowers will forever be a staple in my home, I would be remiss if I didn’t explain how fruit, like the oranges you see in this video, can equally contribute to your decor or add a pop of color to the neutral base of your glam-style space.
For this arrangement, I used around 5 oranges, slicing them thinly then layering them into the vase. The key is to submerge them in water. This way, they won’t attract fruit flies. I think the effect of the orange slices is stunning. Their bright citrus hue brings out the fresh tropical colors of the flowers and beautifully contrasts with their dark green stems and leaves. Generally, the oranges will keep for up to 5 days so this is definitely a type of decor that you can arrange ahead of time for a party or special occasion.
